Long time, no see. Well, I’ve been in a bit of an identity crisis lately. Now that I’m one of the heads of a company, I don’t get much time to do anything anymore. Much less, blog. Anyway, one thing I have been able to enjoy a bit here and there is Eureka Seven. I’m on disc 5 of 11, I believe. One thing that will hook me into a series faster than anything is a good soundtrack. And Eureka Seven doesn’t disappoint. It features a soundtrack that has some of the biggest names in Jpop, and it is good. FLOW, Home Made Kazuko, and Izawa Asami are all in one fantastic soundtrack. Oh yeah, the mechs. Those are impressive too. At his stage in the game, the viewer is still not sure what LFOs really are. Are they just vehicles? Or are they something more? The basic story revolves around Renton Thurston. He is much like the average kid, wanting more out of life than it supposedly offers. That is until a strange girl falls from the sky in her LFO, the Nirvash. I don’t want to give too much up at this point. However, I rather enjoy the story development. Even though the story sometimes borders on emo, it is very engaging. Five more discs, and I should get a proper review up. I’m preparing for an emergency trip to Dallas, so I can’t write too much. At least I was able to get away long enough to write a post. Until next time…
